The diamonds graduate towards the largest stone at the swivel dog clip end, displaying beautifully individual hand-cut facets and wonderful antique character. Ranging from approximately F–I in colour and VS2–SI1 in clarity, they are bright, sparkling and eye-clean, with the delicate platinum milgrain detailing adding a lovely softness to each setting.
What makes this particular extender especially special is its rare Edwardian bicolour swivel dog clip, crafted in 18ct yellow gold with a contrasting platinum swivel bail. Stamped '18ct & Pt', this beautiful antique clasp is complemented by a platinum connecting ring and a delicately twisted antique 18ct yellow gold knot link, creating an unusual combination of contrasting precious metals, textures and periods.
The swivel dog clip adds another element of versatility, allowing the extender to turn and position itself naturally when connecting different chains and links. Wear it horizontally as a delicate diamond accent within a necklace arrangement, or vertically to introduce a little movement and sparkle beneath a favourite connector.
