Originally a Victorian stick pin, this exquisite fox pendant has been meticulously transformed to capture its historic charm.

Encrusted with sparkling rose-cut diamonds and featuring berry red garnet cabochon eyes, the fox head pendant is beautifully detailed, showcasing intricate engravings that define its face and fur.

Crafted in solid silver with a touch of 10-carat gold on the back where the original pin was attached, the pendant feels substantial despite its modest size. We've added a handmade oval pendant bail in 18-carat yellow gold, making it easy to add to your chains and charm holders.

In very good antique condition, there are some nibbles on a few diamonds (only visible under magnification), a testament to its well-loved history. However, this does not detract from its sparkle or the fox’s charm and beauty.

In Victorian jewellery, foxes symbolised cleverness, cunning, and adaptability—traits admired for their association with survival and intelligence. Fox motifs were especially popular during the latter half of the 19th century, reflecting the era's fascination with nature and the sentimental meanings attached to animals.

Dating to circa 1860-1890, this captivating fox pendant is a remarkable addition to your Victorian jewellery collection.
