Inspired by a treasured antique snake slider from Lucille's personal collection, these fabulous ouroboros serpent pendants have been lovingly reproduced to capture all the intricate detail and character of the Victorian original.
Beautifully sculpted into four tightly entwined coils, each serpent features wonderfully detailed scales, a charming little head and a slender tail winding gracefully around its body, with the snake appearing to devour its own tail in the traditional ouroboros design.
An ancient emblem of eternity, renewal and the infinite cycle of life, the ouroboros was a particularly meaningful motif in Victorian jewellery. Serpents were also beloved symbols of eternal love, devotion and everlasting bonds, making these enchanting little creatures as sentimental as they are beautiful!
Available in your choice of solid 18ct yellow gold or sterling silver, each pendant is made to order and individually finished, with a carefully applied blackened effect to recreate the rich patina and wonderful depth of detail seen in the antique original.
The darker finish beautifully accentuates the snake's intricate scales and sculptural form, lending each piece the character and charm of a genuine antique.
For those who prefer a brighter, unblackened finish, this can also be accommodated! Simply leave a note at checkout requesting your pendant to be finished without the blackened effect.
