At the centre of this one-of-a-kind ICONS extender sits a magnificent 0.90ct octagonal-cut Padparadscha Sapphire, originating from Antanadava, Madagascar.
A particularly special gemstone, displaying extraordinary depth and an enchanting interplay of colour. Depending on the light, its remarkable hues shift between delicate pink, soft pinkish-purple and luminous peachy-pink, with beautifully defined facets revealing flashes of warmth and brilliance from within.
Padparadscha Sapphires are among the most coveted and sought-after varieties of sapphire, prized for their distinctive combination of pink and orange-peach hues, often likened to the colours of a tropical sunset. Naturally occurring examples of this beautiful colour are particularly desirable, and this gemstone is unheated, meaning its captivating colour has not been enhanced through heat treatment.
The sapphire is beautifully framed in a bespoke 18ct rose gold bezel setting, its delicate warmth enhancing the pink and peach tones of the stone. This blends wonderfully with the surrounding antique 18ct gold trombone link, which displays a subtle, softly peachy-gold colour, a little yellower in colour than the setting. allowing the gemstone to take centre stage.
The elongated antique trombone link is accompanied by matching 18ct gold connecting links and an oversized antique bolt ring, creating a beautifully balanced and versatile design. The original gold components retain their historic gold stamps, adding another lovely element of antique character.
